Mercian Films · Independent British Production Company
Authentic British Stories. Told with Grit, Truth and Legacy.
Our flagship feature
Dynamite
A powerful true story about ambition, sacrifice and the cost of greatness.
Dynamite follows the rise and fall of Tom Billington, The Dynamite Kid, one of Britain's most influential wrestlers, and explores the legacy he left behind. Made with the support of the Billington estate, with Bret "The Hitman" Hart consulting on the wrestling.
Who are we?
Rooted in the heart of the West Midlands, Mercian Films exists to tell the stories others won't.
We craft bold, character-driven films that hold up a mirror to society. Raw, honest, and unafraid.
Our philosophy is simple: tell the truth, even when it hurts. We believe cinema has a duty, not just to entertain, but to confront, challenge, and inspire. If it doesn't make you feel something, we haven't done our job.
